Currently we are looking for a well organized Legal Counsel, who is prepared to aim high and is open to learn (more) about the gaming industry. Get on board with us and support our Legal team in making GOG.com even more awesome!
Responsibilities:
- Legal advisory and support in projects related to legal compliance in the international market (including compliance related to personal data protection, regulations on the protection of minors, competition protection, consumer rights),
- Legal support in the framework of negotiations of contracts with key partners in the video game industry,
- Verification and analysis of the content of contracts signed by GOG and other documents in terms of eliminating legal risks,
- Monitoring of legal regulations concerning digital distribution and other changes in law that may affect GOG's activity in major foreign markets,
- Support in terms of legal aspects for projects implemented with other teams,
- Participation in preparing draft letters in correspondence with authorities and support in the event of administrative and judicial proceedings.
Job Requirements:
- Higher legal education,
- At least 4 years of experience in legal practice in a substantive position in a law firm or as in-house in a commercial law company,
- Experience in servicing broadly understood e-commerce business of international scope is very welcome,
- Practical knowledge of legal regulations; additional advantage would be knowledge of the basics of California/UK law in terms of contracts and IP,
- Very good knowledge of English (most negotiations and contracts are in English),
- Independence, meticulousness, punctuality,
- Interest in the video game industry highly anticipated :)
