Imagine yourself in this situation: you’re browsing your library, not really knowing what you look for, and you realize you’d like to find something new to play. If this sounds familiar, we have good news - Kleio update with the new Discover view is here to help you with that.

Our newest update introduces a new tab in the GOG GALAXY client to see what's new on GOG and displays game recommendations tailored specially for you, based on your activity on GOG or chosen tags. We hope that like the mythical muse Kleio, it will bring you inspiration and help you discover your next adventure.

The new tab will also contain a news section, to inform you about all things GOG, as well as ongoing events, and some other useful shortcuts, like one to our full catalog or the good old games.

We’re excited by the introduction of the Discover view, and we’d like to hear your thoughts on it too! Please write any feedback you’ll have for the new feature, so we can improve it to better suit your needs in the future.

Any chance of getting a way to disable the Discover view? It was nice being able to remove the store from the side bar and hide the temptation to grow my already embarrassing backlog of games. Discover view seems to be largely the same as the the store's default landing page but with different colors and no opt out.

Is there an update on when a Linux version will be available? With the success of the Steam Deck and other portable gaming devices in the PC market that run on Linux this may be something to focus on to help increase the market share.

Also is there an update on out of date offline installers?
That Discover feature led me to purchase a game, Homeworld: Emergence, because it was so heavily discounted. It would have gone unnoticed had I not updated GOG Galaxy, so I like the change so far!
Discover is not any good, because I can't watch trailer, pics and gameplay directly from there, I have to click to go to the game page. So what is the point, I can do that myself.
Still missing hide games button.
Galaxy fails to update. It gets to 5 - 6% and then crashes immediately. Restarting the client and agreeing to update it causes the same: Updating... 5 - 6% then crashes.

The "games for you" section showed an "oops service not available" message directly after the update, but a restart of Galaxy fixed it.
As for the page iteself, I am not very interested in it and the "Games for you" section only shows me games I am not interested in.
I would like to see these elements as options to put in the "recent" view > which is my starting point. I would really like to put the "news" section there.
As someone who has a big library of games a great addition for me would be if gog would help me discover things I already have:
- random game of the day in your library
- games you bought but never played
- "still hungry for more ?" kind of suggestion that shows me games I own, but haven't played (much), but are of a similar genre as the game I am currently playing.

Also what I would really like to see is that every big planned update for Galaxy would also include 1 or two smaller feature request from the community - I am pretty sure the overall response would be a lot more positive.

There will be an update on that; they will be discontinued!

I'd like to be able to wishlist titles from this screen, or at least see if any of those games are already on my wishlist.

Also, I don't know if something like this was always there, but the little countdown to release on the banner card for Card Shark on the main page is a nice touch. :)

Love it, however, under "games for you" I would like the option to turn off recommendations for p_orn games.

What? I've filed tickets in Galaxy for a few years at least.

Gear Icon -> Report a bug

Can you bring up game pages in tabs yet? That's the UX reason I use a browser, Control-Click on what I'm interested in and go through the individual tabs rather than going back and forth.
