Has anyone else noticed that the "Discounted" option from the Price drop-down in the wishlist is now missing? I've attached a screenshot.

Curious. Although I can't say I sort my games that way when looking for stuff, I tend to rely on the front page and 'on sale'.

Although, they aren't well sorted and not best to worst or in any seemingly obvious order.

rt, ahem, did you check the option: order (default by bestselling), just next to view (as list) top tight hand corner

... And where on the front/main page would that be?

Yes I know you can organize a bit from going to the games tab, and searching there; But I rarely do. Usually there aren't enough games on sale to worry about. Hence I said the main page.

Well i see the discounted/free options avaliable when i look at it so i don't know what's up for you :(

ok wrong assumption on my site! I assumed you meant the main page of games. Not the main main page even as you said so ;) (also as the pic showed not the front page)

for the pic, as I do not have a wishlist, did you check on the game page or in your wishlist, assuming I make no wrong assumption again though ;)

My apologies for my wrong assumption.

Actually made a little test, if there is no game in there which is discounted it seems not to give you the option.

EDIT, same goes for the price selection, if the cheapest it above 25, you will not get anything lower.

Well the wishlist does have a bit more sorting options (assuming it's games I've already marked as ones I want, and i try to target 70%+ discounts). I see the discounted/free options there so the OP's listing issues aren't related to there.

To be precise, the original image was from the games list, this image is from the wishlist.

If there's any other pages to check I'll check them.

As I said, I made a test with wishlist, the wishlist seems to only have the options if the options are applicable, so if no game is discounted in your wishlist the option does not appear.

Wish shall mean that in your wishlist you shall have some free games or similar. (or might be screwed up because of TBA as they are AFAIK counted as free as well)

Goodaltgamer: so if no game is discounted in your wishlist the option does not appear.
So does that mean the OP happened to look under the price option when nothing was on sale at that particular second when he screencapped it? Seems unlikely, there's only like... I don't know.. a day in the week when there isn't some type of deal going on, and often deals overlap.

Although if he was searching say Linux games and there were no Linux games on discount... then that might happen. Curious... I think we kinda have our answer.

edit: Looked under sports which has nothing on discount currently. It's still there. Not sure what's with the OP then. Scripting issue? Maybe a bug with a specific browser?

Might as well ask. IronArcturus, what OS/Browser are you using? Specific version too. It's possible you need to contact support and one of the scripts isn't working due to an obscure or incompatible browser version.

No.

the other way round, if you have only games in there, which do not have a discount (i.e. let's say the wing commander series) it will not show discounted as none of them is on sale.

On the game page this script is always active (discounted), but the wishlist scripting seems to be a tad more intelligent. (so games always active wishlist only show options which are applicable)

Seems to be really the case, just for fun added TW3 expansion pass (to my empty wishlist) and under system I can NOT select anything BUT Win 7 & 8, and when checking on the store page, I only see supported OS Win 7 & 8, no 10.
Same for prices, ONLY under 25 Euros no other option at all (as the pass costs 24.99 Euros)

So this is a wishlist only problem. Hmmm... curious.

As for making it intelligent it wouldn't be that hard, every game would have an entry including name, price, discounted value, and then systems, so the script simply enables only ones that have at least one match. Easy enough and only takes 1 pass to do.

edit: Glancing at the OP's image I see the word 'SHARE' in the back, matching my second screenshot with the wishlist, so this is certainly a wishlist issue. Alright I'm satisfied with what we've talked about regarding this.

edit2: I feel so stupid. Glancing at the thread title 'missing from wishlist', all I saw was 'discounted option missing'... Geeze..

Don't really know why you still see it as a problem, this is really a nice feature, me thinks.

Options being hidden/not available?

Actually I think the games pages works the same, using deduction here though:

If you select like Win XP and you check a game it shows up on the works on info.

Just as the selection is rather big, you THINK that this feature/script is not there ;)

EDIT: (to your 2nd edit) Assumption your worst friend ;)

It's been a long day. I don't know if I'd have caught it earlier or not if it were a different day.

Oh well, no use in complaining.
I checked the wishlist again and now the Discounted option is back.

Did you check for what I mentioned in post 9?

In the past, If I did not have any discounted items in the wishlist then it would just show a black screen if I selected the "Discounted" option. So when the Discounted option disappeared entirely this was new.
